—Contains a selection of short witty and humerous quips written by Eugene Field during his time as editor of the Tribune. Eugene Field Sr. was an American writer, best known for his children's poetry and humorous essays. He was known as the "poet of childhood".
—>The Book has a sticker from Frederick Loeser & Co. inside the front cover. It was a large department store in Brooklyn, New York. Their flagship store on 484 Fulton Street served as one of Brooklyn's major landmarks for 65 years. The store closed down in February 1952.
