Aamon Always by Dan E.L. Patch 1940 First Edition Hardcover in Unclipped Original Dust Jacket
<Condition is Very Good as Pictured> (normal wear with markings, visible edge-wear) size is approximately 8” x 5.5”
—This is a fascinating story with a modern setting by the Chief of Police of Highland Park (Detroit), Michigan. It graphically describes the adventures and adversities of a Jewish young man, born in Finland, brought to America when a child, and reared in a Christian home. He was greatly beloved by his foster sister, but hated by his foster brothers; cruelly cheated out of his inheritance; cast into prison on false charges, and later deported to Europe.
After thrilling experiences in Germany, Russia and Finland, as a co-pilot of the Air Corps, he becomes a stowaway in a British airplane and finally lands in Palestine by means of a parachute. There he becomes the close friend of a rabbi who is well versed in the Old Testament Scriptures and is looking for the Messiah. They talk of Bible history and prophecy, as they journey by foot toward Jerusalem. Convinced through Aamon's testimony that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah of Israel, the rabbi receives Him as his Lord and relies upon Him for salvation. Aamon marries the one he loved during his years of adversity, and joins the rabbi and a converted foster brother in founding The Star of Hope Center in Jerusalem.
A dynamic story of intrigue and love, appealing to young and old; a book that both Jews and Christians will delight to read; informing on present-day events in the light of prophecy.
