“Overland to Oregon," by Edward Henry Lenox (1827 - 1905) is a pioneer's story of the first immigration to Oregon in 1843. Mr. Lenox as a boy of sixteen years accompanied the first emigrants including Whitman and Applegate to Oregon and leaves this little book as a tribute to the old pioneers. Contains hand-drawn illustrations and an appendix lists the names of the first immigrants. As an old pioneers' story the little book is of great interest.
